Because it’s awesome, that’s why. And of course I’m talking about the fabulous site, In the Powder Room, of course.

Seeing as though I’m in the business of writing love letters and seeing also that I’m doing this whole “write more blog posts in one month than I have ever” deal, here’s another one for you.

I had a such a fun time publishing my piece, Dear Smug Mom with Leslie and Sarah I just had to tell the whole world (or at least the smattering of the whole world who visits here) just how wonderful they are. So, yes, I wrote them a love letter. November is National Gratitude Month after all.

Also before you leave, make sure you check out my awesome sidebar. Leslie fixed it all pretty for me!

Dear Leslie, Sarah, and the In the Powder Room Community,

Thank you for making me feel so welcome In the Powder Room! I haven’t had this much fun in a bathroom stall since… well, that’s a different story.

Your commitment to publishing quality content is evident every step of the way. Thank you for the speedy response (one day! And on a SUNDAY) to the stellar and thoughtful edits on my piece. (Note to Sarah: You never have to apologize for making me look better. Never!) to the promotion across social media channels. I’m totally spoiled now. Someone get me m green M&Ms, dammit!

Every step of the way has been supportive, professional, and above and beyond what a writer might expect. Clearly you want your writers to succeed! Case in point—not only did Leslie take the time to visit and leave a comment on my blog, she noticed my site could use a little finessing and offered up her services. For free. What? I mean, who does that? Not only did she fancy-up my sidebar and add much needed social media icons and links (Hello, 2015!), but she offered great advice for how to maximize my online presence and encouraged me to use her (and her HTML savant-ness) as a resource. (Leslie, do you know what happens when you leave food out for a hungry puppy? Don’t check your email. I’m so sorry.)

To me, this kind of personalized treatment and professional support is more valuable than financial payment. It would be my most sincere pleasure to publish with you again (no pressure) but regardless; you have a loyal reader for life.

Cheers!

Shelly

  1. Eee! Kim, what are you doing here! OMGILOVEYOURBLOGSOMUCH! If I knew you were coming by, I would have cleaned up the place or put some store bought cookies on a nice dish. Have I told you HOW MUCH I LOVE YOUR BLOG?!
