I know, I know… I’m really terrible at lots of things. Softball, being fake nice, saying no to a pair of shoes. The list goes on. But there are two things in particular I really suck at: Updating my website and functioning like a normal person when I’m on vacation. Just imagine how bad things can get when the 2 collide!
So I am on vacation. Visiting the parents in Upstate New York. Wow, what a hard time I had trying to get here thanks to Seattle’s freaky two-week long snow storm. But that’s a different story. At home, I’m having a hard time staying awake for longer than 2 hours at a time. It’s just so relaxing! I read books, watch movies, take a nap, eat. Then the cycle starts all over again. Can you see how doing simple tasks like updating a website or not falling asleep in my dinner, or turning off The Real Housewives of Orange County can prove rather difficult for me? Can you???
I haven’t even done my usual cop-out “Hey look, here’s something I wrote on another website but you can read it here” post. I mean, how easy is that? So easy that I’m going to do it now. I have to do something! Those Housewives are turning my insides into creamed corn!
So, without further ado, pretend it’s not old news now and feel free to read my latest column from Dragon called, Adventures in Gift Gifting. Sure Christmas, Hanukkah, even Boxing Day have passed, but there are plenty of gift-giving worthy holidays right around the corner.
In the meantime, I’ll get some of these half written posts fully written. But first, I need a nap. Vacation is hard work.
Happy New Year!
